‘The Statue’ to vie at Corti a Ponte filmfest

Iranian animation ‘The Statue’ is scheduled to vie at the Corti a Ponte Film Festival in Italy.

Directed by Mohsen Salehi Fard, the film will be screened at the Plus section of the 2022 edition of the event.

‘The Statue’, is about a sculptor who has difficulty with making his statues.

The animation has previously participated in several international film festivals, including the Chania Film Festival in Greece, the Gbeck Future Film Festival in Canada, and the Earl’s Court International Film Festival in the UK.

The Corti a Ponte presents films to an audience of 3 to 99 years old. The films are either in Italian or have Italian subtitle.

There is a special section of the festival for the films that are made by children and youth that is called “Piccolo Festival”.

The 2022 edition of the Italian festival will be held on May 9-21.
